Low Vacuum on a fresh build with ls7 parts
Hey all just finished a build on my L76 with a bunch of LS7 stuff and an NA Bald Eagle cam from TSP to support a Torquestorm supercharger with a 3.1 pulley. In my 20 years in the industry I have never seen an issue like I am experiencing. It seems the ZL1 lifters pumped up or came out of the box stuck at solid lifter pressure keeping the valves hanging. I measured push rod length and got .060 compressed with .040 lash if I fully compress the spring on the lifter on #1 so I am perfect push rod length but I pulled all the other rockers to retorque and check everything out and every other lifter is stuck all the way up and the valves opened way before I got the rocket arm seated. I would say between .020 and .010 of valve lash on all cylinders except #1 which took some doing to get the HLA's to compress. Anyone ever seen brand new lifters stuck like this and know why?
