Hello all,

I am helping a friend with his 08 g8 v6. He had some “mechanic” swap in a l76/6l80e and they opted to use a stand alone harness vs sourcing a factory engine harness. He’s got the e38 pcm. It’s all hooked up but I can’t seem to figure out how to wire in the starter solenoid wire. Usually in older cars it’s a purple wire that is energized when the key is rolled over. The g8s steering column was already apart so I have access to the ignition switch. I don’t know which wire would run to the starter. My biggest fear is that the BCM is responsible for making that happen. Anyone have any wiring diagrams that might help? Thanks!!
