Let's hope the new crowd of owners isn't like "other" 2nd- or 3rd-wave owners. I recall when I bought my first new car, "we" were an exclusive group. An early wheel-shortage meant there were precious few example on the road the first year. Like the G8, there were very few of "us" on the road- to the point where we'd thumbs-up one another because we were so exclusive. Fast forward 3 or 4 years, the car is now everywhere, and many sold their vehicles because a set of tires was ~800 bucks (back then that was a LOT of cash). The new owners would wheel-and-tire for less than a set of OE skins (usually big-and-littles on Cragars... with air shocks). That was the beginning of the end. The cars got ratty and beat. Clapped-out examples rose to cliché status.
