AFM In Manual Mode?

Isn't AFM supposed to be inactive while in manual mode? While cruising in 6th gear testing out my new Solo axle-back's, i kept hearing it kick in to 4-cylinder mode. Turned on engineering mode and sure enough, AFM was showing half active while in M6. Is this supposed to be happening? Did they change this in the 2009.5 models to allow AFM to activate in 6th gear?

Your car must have been tuned.

It came with a handheld TruXP tuner which i could use to turn it off, but currently have all values set to stock.
