Default First time at the 1320 - pointer?

Looks like in the next couple weeks I'll head for a testntune at local 1320 - Napierville Dragway

Never 1320'd before, looking for some tutoring. it's a 9.5, A6, LSA, tooley 2 cam, 3.45 diff, stock 19 bridgestone (originals!).

The stones I have on are almost to the bars, have a spare set - which do I run?

    - drive around the water box
    - burnout ?
    - How to launch?
    1st or 2nd gear?
    power brake ?1000rpm?
    Ease into throttle?
    stability on or off
    auto or sport?

    - thank you in advance!

You'll figure it out. Easy going on the first trip down the track.

Yep, just go have fun. You will learn a bunch just through trackside osmosis. Your mods demand a good set of drag radials.

I'd run the newer tires. Go around the water and do a short burnout.(2-3 seconds) Launch in 1st. I have found that flashing from idle gives the best performance on the stock converter. I launch in sport mode and walk into the throttle quickly. You're doing it well if you can cut a 1.9x 60' on the factory Bridgestones. Good luck and have fun!

Stability control on the first time down the track, then off after that once you have confidence. Your old tires have to be harder than rocks, so the new ones definitely. Power brake just a bit to load up drivetrain to not shock anything. Roll into throttle halfway, then punch it. If you get DRs you could flat out punch it at your power level with good track prep.

First watch other drives.. if you do not have radials or slicks try to drive around the water box. Like said before a 2-3 sec burnout. Traction on the first run and act as it is a red light. Turn it off once you get the hang of the tree Remember this is TnT your NOT racing for a trophy simply a time slip. Your time does not start untill your tires leave the laser.. good luck have fun!.
