Default G8 GT vs. 2014 SS - Photo Finish! *Video inside*

Friendly grudge race with my buddy Jesse and his G8.

Both cars running 275/40/17 Drag Radials on Vette wheels.
Both cars running the same size Nitrous kit
Both cars running a Roto-Fab CAI
    Livernois tune on the SS

    HPTuners on the G8 GT
GTO spares on the G8 GT (Had to sell them to him as they would not fit my SS)
Cat-Back Exhaust on the G8 GT
3400 Triple Disc Yank stall on the G8 GT

G8 ran 0.055 quicker that run.
SS reached the finish line 0.017 quicker.

G8 has a best time of 11.75@121 to date
SS has a best time of 11.84@120.03 to date

More to come from both cars.

I agree Pete.. sounds like the stall made a hell of a difference.

    James,

What else you have lined up for the SS? I know after market parts are scarce still for the SS.

Yes it did, Typically he ran a 1.9x-2.0x 60' N/A and a best of 1.79 60' Spraying N2o in first gear.

With the Stall, we eliminated the N2o for 1st gear and with the stall and a Stock Cam he managed a 1.77 60' N/A

This winter, or before if $$ allows. Front Runners for sure. Jesse also gain .2 better times after buying my front runners before the stall. Went from a best of 11.92 & 11.95 down to a 11.75 & 11.77 from the front runners alone.

So I will be doing those first, since Drag racing with a 62lb 20" Front wheel makes no sense for speed.

American Racing Long tubes, 3" Catted Mid Section and haven't figured out the Axle Backs yet.

After seeing the results with the higher stall, a 3,400 stall for me as well along with a Cam. I will get with the guys at Livernois to help decide which Cam I go with.

That was a good run. Didn't realize how much difference the front runners made. Definitely worth it
