    Unhappy Quick Question....Interior rattle....

I've done some searching and found a couple threads, but I'm trying to narrow this down. Wanted to see if anyone has had a similar issue. I'm getting an interior rattle on the passenger side at cruising speed (50-70 mph), it does not do it at slower speeds. It's a popping type sound; think poprocks or like when little pieces of dirst/sand hitting the windshield. Check the door striker, sill plate, glove box, etc. it's none of those. Any thoughts?

I just noticed it this morning on my way to work, but I'm gonna get it on jack stands to look up underneath tonight as I have not checked there, but just wanted to get some opinions first.

Nope. I've tried ac on/off, recirc on/off. . Got it up off the ground earlier. No loose heat shields, exhaust is nice and tight, nothin.
I'm at a loss for the moment. May try to give her another once over this weekend.....

You could have someone else drive the car, while you feel/look around for the noise.

Guess that would only work if the noise was created from inside the car. Can you pinpoint inside or outside? Louder with windows down or up? One eye shut one eye open?

While driving and the popping is there reach around and hold the vents that are in the center console for the back seat. Mine has rattle there... my daughter found that! Good luck!

I think I may have found the culprit. Won't know for sure until i head home form work.

The windshield molding on the sides, the 1/16" to 1/8" wide piece on the inside of the main moulding where it touches the WS had a piece hanging loosely. That may have been the noise I've been hearing. Flapping in the wind at speed could cause it to hit the windshield or a-pillar.

I'll let you guys know. And thanks for your input!!!

Correct no clips necessary just get the new molding.

I was surprised to see how cheap they were.

and Daniel, I think I saw you last thursday turning onto Airport road right across from the Hobby entrance. I was on one of those park and ride busses. Tried to wave, but other passengers were looking at me like I was crazy!
