Saab 97x Aero
Just put a down payment on a 2008 Saab 97x Aero.
Will be my G8s LS buddy, and will be used for DD & Winter.
I was shopping for a Trailblazer SS, but decided on the Saab (they are basically twins) because they are a tad cheaper and only 639 were made (500 in 2008 and 139 in 2009).

Very cool! I wish I had jumped on them (the coupe) when they were selling them CHEAP about five years ago or so. I don't know if you remember that or not, but they were selling them NEW for less than 20k, it was unreal, but GM was unloading the inventory when they were in dire straights. A buddy of mine drives the snot out of his and it just keeps going and going.

I recall hearing that the Saabs were discounted heavliy when GM had to come up with a plan.
I know I'll enjoy this Saab, it has the 6.0 LS2, whats not to like?

I don't know if they are super hard to find, as there are stilll 5 or so on AutoTrader/CarSoup. TBSS are for sale all over, but the prices are higher than the Saab, and the mileage is also higher.
For price comparision sake though with a TBSS.
Sticker on a 2008 AWD TBSS with Leather was about $35K.
Sticker on a 2008 Saab 97x Aero with Leather was about $45K.
Used prices on a 2008 AWD TBSS with 36K is around $20-22K
Used prices on a 2008 AWD Saab with 36K is around $16-19K

One more thing to add, GM took on the 5yr 100K powertrain warranty that the Saab came with, so most of them are under warranty until 2014. The one I am getting expires 11/2013 for 5yr. So I planned to get it fully checked out right before that time.
