Well I finally decided I was financially sound enough to sell my GTO and move into a G8. After owning 2 GTOs since 2008, it was time for something different. I've been eyeing G8s since they came out....especially Steve's. I just can't believe it all worked out and I actually own it now. Fortunately like Steve, it will not be my Daily Driver, as I plan to keep the mileage low like he did. Unfortunately I did have to raise the car a bit since our Louisiana roads are not great. I'm still fine tuning the height{It's at 26.25(F) and 26.5(R)}, but Steve had the stiffness right on par with what I like. I'm hoping 26.125 up front and 26.25 out back won't rub the mid pipes, or cats.
On the "soon to do" list I plan on adjusting the coilovers, and getting an alignment(hopefully I can finish that this weekend). Very soon after I will have my detail guy do a full paint correction and try to disperse some of the very few rock chips it has up front. I also just ordered a SOLO Mach axle-back exhaust with the 3.5" tips. After that ill tackle the interior with some gauges, and change the lightning up(LED interior, HID exterior). As far as the engine/trans, I have no near future plans to make it any more radical. I just want to keep it simple and clean.
Well I look forward to getting advice and meeting some of the locals on here.
