    Agreed, your just over powering the track. Go back out and do it again, your gonna be surprised how well it will leave. Parrish g8 twin turbo was the first one I saw leave in second a couple years ago at drag week, he ran 10.82 on that pass.

    do indeed to change any tables in first gear or do anything else

    Have you removed your front swaybar to help move the wieght to the rear yet? If not thats something else that might help.

    You need to launch in manual mode with the shifts set to occur automatically regardless of whether you shift on time or not. This way, you won't bang the rev limiter in manual and you can still have normal driving (in drive) whenever you're on the street.

    Instead of racing in drive or sport mode, you select manual mode. After the burnout, make sure the gear indicator light is in 2nd gear. If your tuner sets the manual shifts to occur by a specific mph and rpm, your trans will shift automatically, even if you don't shift in time. Basically, it's an automatic at that point. Your tuner will have to know how to do this though. For the driver, it's all very easy. Just stab and steer.
