Car is just a handful to drive at the track. Need opinions.

Before my latest tune, car ran a 11.96 at 117 with a 2.1 60ft. Temps 90

Now, with my current tune and a lot more power, rpms, etc, car ran a 12.1 at 117. In drive, traction control off. and a 12.9 at 121 in sport mode, traction control on.

Last run I was going sideways at 100mph and let off.

All runs are on street tires, lowered pressure to 30psi and car was cool and running really strong.

First and for most, I do need drag radials bad. I have corvette z06 rims, just waiting to buy tires.

Now, any tips from some of you experienced track guys and what I need to work on or improve(besides tires) to be able to run low 11's like it should?

Really thats the biggest thing you need to it hands down.

As above. Get a tire on it. That biggest thing I see all the time. Guys with a good amount of power wasting there time and fucking up track prep on street tires.

You might even consider full slicks if your situation allows.

Are you crazy? Running on street tires with your power?
My G8 will do 60' of rubber shifting to 2nd with TC on. Gotta get tires.

Tires make a huge difference. I had a similar experience as you after my Maggie install. I fishtailed on the 2 to 3 shift and almost hit the guy next to me. Bought some MT's and haven't had an issue since.

i'm a newb at tracking, but I thought i read somewhere that having your brakes double duty on street and at the track is kind of a no-no, and that you should have dedicated track pads.
