    Default G8 Wheel hop problems?

I havent seen too many people complain about wheel hop on here. Is wheel hop not a problem?
I'm getting our axles turned down at the machine shop this week and I'm trying to decide on a diameter to go with.
If wheel hop doesnt seem to be a problem then I'll just make them both the same diameter.
One axle is about an inch longer than the other so maybe that helps with wheel hop. Plus the coil over type shocks probably help too.

I've heard of a couple of people referencing wheel hop but usually only if their tires get wet in the burnout box. Maybe some "hoppers" will chime in.

I only experience wheel hop when the roads are "damp". If wet and raining the tires just spin. If dry the tires just spin.

With the new Pedders bushings, I don't expect to have any wheel hop.

I did have on instance of wheel hop at the strip. Drag radials and trying to launch at 2500rpm. I had bad wheel hop with 20lbs of pressure in the DRs. At 2000rpm I had some spinning but no wheel hop. So it's just a case of launch rpm and air pressure adjustments need fine tuning, but there isn't any "inherent" wheel hop, if that makes sense.

That is correct. It seems if you go from wet to dry or vice versa some hop can happen. I had it for the 1st time ever yesterday. Damp roads.

That helps alot guys. I'll probably stick with a constant thickness on our axles.
