The old ones were definitely collapsed, down to 2" almost exactly, with uneven heights and top areas scraped. New Lovell's raised the car, eliminated some wander and sharpened everything up.

Nice to know did you just replace bushings or struts also?
Thanks for the review on adding just the strut mounts/bushings. I am with in warranty, but I am not going to waste my time asking for the dealer to replace them under warranty. The poly replacements sound so superior, going with stock is not worth it, even if it is free.

FYI, dealer cost was $270 to replace bushings and bearings, labor only (no struts) YMMV

Yeah, if it were up to me I'd forget about having GM replace the bushings and go with poly's and even put GXP struts on my GT. But I have less than 10K on the GT and the wife would kill me if I drop $500 (wrench it myself) on essentially a brand-new-car.
BTW: No clunking yet but the top of the struts are shifting off center now so I gotta do something. Still under warranty.
