No more 6-banger in the 2013 'bu. Word is three power plants, the 2.4L, the 2.4L mild-hybrid, and a yet to be name turbo four. One can hope/dream/pray that is the 2.0L DI turbo 4 as it can easily and inexpensively be tweaked to 300 HP/325 TQ at the crank with only a premium fuel requirement.
It is going to be FWD.

It actually doesn't suck. It looks great in person. I wasn't sure of the rear end styling at first and I had my doubts until I looked at the press release/other items but man does it look good. It goes above and beyond what the current Malibu is (and that is a nice car in itself).
Easily mistaken for something like a G8 with the covers on. I think people will be pleasantly surprised. I plan to take a look at one (or a Cruze) myself.
