    Default License Plate brackets?

Are our cars supposed to have a LP bracket on the rear panel? I just got my plates today and it's kinda just there and feels like something's missing. Also is there a bracket for the front? I hate to do it but I don't want any problems with the cops.

Only two holes for the LP on the rear - there are three mounting points, they are country dependent - the lowest ones are for Australia, and an Aussie plate screws right in perfectly. It does seem the lower two screws are missing but it is OK. I did put some weather stripping on the back of my license plate to keep it from rubbing on the paint or rattling from the added subwoofers.

As far as the front - the front bracket is as ugly as sin - a big box that is riveted to the front clip. Unless the law is super sensitive on the topic I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Nope, nothing special. I had some left over weather stripping from a home improvement project. You can buy a roll at Home Depot/Lowes/Wal-Mart/Ace...

I put some little silicone bumpers on the back side of my rear ate to keep it from rattling. I picked them up at Home Depot on the aisle with the slides to put on the feet of furniture for wood or tile floors. They work very well.
