    Default Modding Season is Open!

    All -

I'm pretty excited so I have to send a quick message.

    • I've received my Triple Gauge Trim (and totally cool Kelly Racing polo - wife rolled her eyes) from Crazy Paul.
    • Ordered my Revolution Gauges to match WhiteDeathLSX and GTO MAN 311's designs. From Left to right I'll have: Boost, A/F, Fuel Pressure
    • Ordered an AEM A/F Wide Band controller.
    • Ordered the -4AN to 1/8NPT (Female to Female) adapter for the FP sender.

Afterward it's off to Livernois for:
    • CAI (I suppose I could install this myself)
    • Kooks Mids
    • Tune

Any inputs / criticisms / etc is welcome! I'm looking for gotchas from installs, pictures, etc.

I'll keep this thread updated as I go. First step is to get the vehicle out of storage!

Nice foundation to the mods. I'll subscribe to watch your progress....have fun!

Stupid question...the Boost gauge is for a later FI project?

Ha Ha....not a stupid question. Yes, the plan is a 2300 later this summer or next spring. If it doesn't happen, I'll yank it and put an Oil Pressure or Voltage Gauge in its spot. (also why I'd like to see Vegas' final product)

Sounds like a good start. But you listed Kooks mids. You doing rest exhaust? any reason didnt go with LT's? Specially plan on forced induction later.

Well, I all but decided on Mids but you're not the first person to question my thoughts and am admittedly second guessing myself......

I want to keep the rest of the system stock for now and am hoping for a nearly stock sound (as close as I can get). Honestly, the only reason I started thinking headers is I need a good spot for the bung placement for the WB and was thinking FI in the future. LT's seem like what most are doing, I agree. However, I've also read that there doesn't seem to be much difference in power created (slight advantage to the LT's).

I'll probably continue to read and solicit opinions but for now I'm leaning toward the mids.

    I appreciate the thoughts.

I have 1 7/8 Kooks LTs and am replacing them with Kooks Mids. I am sick of scraping my cats. I'm willing to sacrifice some power for this annoyance.

I am on the verge of having all the parts for my exhaust mods: the mid muffler and new axle backs. Eventually I will get a set of Goodyear all season GT tires, Lloyd car mats and Maverick Man's CF twin grill inserts. Also replacing my ARH x-pipe and BMR sub frame connectors after last years impact with a parking lot island. The used parts are still good just cosmetically compromised. Will be selling them eventually.

Going to be replacing my headers, upgrading the injectors, installing the AFR gauge, and a re-tune over the next few weeks. Also looking to order some gauges for boost and fuel pressure, and a gauge pod. Looking at AeroForce gauges. Need to install my sway bar end links as well.

So, yes, MOD season is open!

So I know what injectors are but what are the benefits of upgrading them? And does it make it difficult to retune the car? I have been looking for an injector solution to use with the cathedral port FAST intake that won't make retuning the car difficult. Not sure I want to use the injector extension cups....
