Default Connecting RCA Cables To Rear Aux Input

Yes, I did a search. I've dug around on the Crutchfield site also.

I plan to send my stereo out for the GTOShiftLight VIM kit when I'm on vaca later in the summer, but I'm looking for an alternative that is fast and cheap so I can hook RCA connectors, stereo and video to the AUX input on the stock head unit. Ya, I get that over 3 or 4 MPH the screen will display (REAR AUX) and I get audio only. For this application I'm fine with that (connecting my MP3 player direct to the REAR AUX instead of the front panel). I was curious what I could buy off the shelf and what people have paid.

    Thanks!

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks aware of this solution but don't have time time/energy to DIY. Is there nothing in the real world I could just buy?

I ordered the parts to do this, but haven't made the cables yet. I don't think I will be spending the $$ for the VIM, so they are not much use to me. If you want the parts to make a set of cables, you can have them. Let me know....

I made mine using the free parts from Tyco and it only took me about 20mins.

Would have been faster if my crimper/stripper wasnt a pos. Ended up using a needle nose pliers and a knife to get it done on the last wire

I have a set of cables ready to ship. They are about 2' - 2.5' long with male, color correct, composite RCA ends. I am asking $40 and that includes shipping USPS Priority Mail.

Let me know if you are interested.

JHP also sells the cables, but you know how most people on this board feel about them... :/
