guess i attempted this after everyone went to bed...
Thanks to GPDan, its done. I thought we had to undo more quick connections than we really did. This caused me to take about 3 hours to get it done... including a 40 minute trip to the parts store for a 10mm deep socket (for the bolts that hold the intake cover on).
SOOO ported intake: Done
First shiney bolts: Done
