Bluetooth
Bluetooth® wireless technology is a short-range communications technology intended to replace the cables connecting portable and/or fixed devices while maintaining high levels of security. Only vehicles with steering wheel controls will have Bluetooth® functionality. In order to utilize the vehicle’s Bluetooth® system, a Bluetooth® equipped cellular phone is required.
With Bluetooth® technology customers can experience hands-free calling as their Bluetooth® capable cellular phones are wirelessly connected to the vehicle. It will allow customers to place and receive calls using the steering wheel controls and voice recognition. The vehicle audio system will allow you to listen to your call through the vehicle speakers and adjust volume through steering wheel or radio controls.
Not all Bluetooth® cellular phones are guaranteed to work with the vehicle’s Bluetooth® system. Based on the cellular phone’s service provider and the manufacturer’s implementation of Bluetooth®, not all phones support all available Bluetooth® functionality. Bluetooth® enabled cellular phones will be tested for vehicle compatibility and a feature compatibility list will be provided via the GM Bluetooth® website: http://www.gm.com/vc/bluetooth/
Portable Audio Devices
A USB port (1) and a 3.5 mm auxiliary input jack (2) are located in the storage compartment of the center console.
• A portable device connected to the auxiliary input jack can be controlled only by using the portable device controls. To optimize speaker volume, fully increase the volume level of the portable device.
• Compatible devices connected to the USB port can be controlled by the audio system. Not all devices may be supported. Use the MENU/SELECT knob and the audio steering wheel controls to access various functions.
120 Volt Power Outlet
The power outlet is located on the rear of the center console.
An indicator light on the outlet comes on when in use. The light comes on when the ignition is in ON/RUN and equipment requiring less than 150 watts is plugged into the outlet and no system fault is detected.
If you try to connect equipment using more than 150 watts or a system fault is detected, the equipment may operate for a short period and turn itself off. A protection circuit shuts off the power supply and the indicator light turns off. To reset the circuit, unplug the item and plug it back in or turn the Remote Accessory Power (RAP) off and then back on.
Transportation Mode
The Regal is delivered to the dealership in Transportation Mode. Be sure to disable Transportation Mode before delivery of the vehicle to a customer to avoid unnecessary customer concerns and warranty expenses.
Transportation Mode is designed to extend the battery charge of a vehicle during shipment or during extended storage. When activated, it shuts down modules and accessories that do not effect FMVSS requirements. Modules in power reduction hibernation will vary depending on how the vehicle is equipped, and may include HVAC afterblow, lighting timers, content theft system and LED, radio, chime module, suspension control module, RFA and others.
The vehicle may be started and driven in Transportation Mode but will have reduced functionally.

Interactive Drive Control System (Available on Turbo Models Only in Fall of 2010)
The interactive Drive Control System adapts to the driving style and preference of the driver within one of the three driving modes. It automatically adapts to the driver's style in the Standard mode or adjusts chassis behavior based on modes selected by the driver -- Sport or Tour.
Standard -- Use for normal city and highway driving. This mode is active each time the vehicles is started.
Tour -- Press the TOUR button for a smooth ride during long distance highway driving.
Sport -- Press the SPORT button when road conditions or personal preference demand more responsive, controlled handling. The Sport mode setting can be changed in the Vehicle Personalization menu by using the audio system controls.
When the Sport and Tour modes are turned off, the system returns to the Standard mode.

Driver Shift Control allows the driver to shift gears manually. This feature can be used to drive the vehicle in a sportier manner or to downshift when driving on a downhill grade to provide engine braking. Move the shift lever to the left of Drive. Then tap forward to upshift and rearward to downshift. If the vehicle speed is too high or too low for the requested gear, the shift will not occur. When coming to a stop, the transmission will automatically downshift.
Electronic Parking Brake
The Electric Parking Brake has a switch in the center console, which takes the place of the manual parking brake system, the foot pedal and release handle. The remote control transmitter and the key shank are not serviced separately.
