    ust to be different, I painted my coil bracket.

    Anybody can paint the coils...

    Yes, that was the second thing I did after switching the speedo setting to 3.70 gears and changed the tire height.

    Then hours on the phone tonight, with my tuning instructor...

    Well, long story, but it started out with getting screwed at a dealer with a Liquid Red GXP loaded and had to settle for the GT because I couldn't find another GXP with the same specs.     Some days I think maybe I'm putting on a facade, but at the end of the day, not too many people even know what my G8, let alone can tell the difference except us of the G8 brotherhood. The transformation isn't totally done...the only obvious thing I'm missing, on the exterior at least, are the Brembos which I eventually might buy and install. As far as the interior goes, I doubt I will go through the trouble and money to swap the gauges and seats with GXP ones. That's taking it a little too far.

    Yeah, I might get flamed all day for what I did...but the fact is, I spent my hard earned money on my car and can do whatever I please. And as George put it...it's a bit more than just badges. Currently, I'm running at close to 360RWHP which is pretty respectable and almost identical to stock GXP numbers.

    I kinda cut off the lower panel block off plate. Started with a vice and a hack saw, that took too long, so switched to a cutting wheel and went to town. (I was at work and no table saws).
    Also got a new windshield this week, I hate rock chips.
