Plasti-Dip painted my grills
I think i wish it was a little 'blacker" and a little glossier. In bright light it looks a little gray. I have some concerns about duribility but if you want to get it off, it seems easy to do so I figured why not try it. Now i wonder how it might be as a base coat for regular paint. I have 2 rattle cans of PBM. Maybe a little experimenting is in order.

Looks good George. Your grill surrounds look a little smoother than mine but it is hard to tell in photos.

They are decently smooth. I did a light coat then two wet coats. I was afraid it would run, but it didn't.
I did wash it since then, also...
