    TSB #1

If you have a clunk noise in your front suspension, check your front sway bar mounting bushings. There is a new TSB regarding this for the G8 through the VIN breakpoint listed below.

It involves replacing the front insulator bushings on the sway bar with an updated part:

92219337 Insulator, Front Stabilizer Bar (Shaft) 2

#08-03-08-004: Clunk Noise From Front of Vehicle (Replace Front Stabilizer Shaft Insulators (Bushings)) - (May 19, 2008)

Subject:Clunk Noise From Front of Vehicle (Replace Front Stabilizer Shaft Insulators (Bushings))

Models:2008 Pontiac G8 Built Prior to VIN Breakpoint 8L150898

    TSB #2:

This TSB relates to the floor mats not fitting correctly. The fix is to remove the clip retainers from the floor mat, elongate the holes in the floor mat to match the measurement taken, and reassemble the clips on the mat using GM weatherstrip adhesive. Estimated labor time is 30-45 minutes.

    EIB #1:

This engineering information bulletin describes a possible leak in the 6Lx0 transmissions. If a leak is found with the pan or pan gasket assembly, the dealership is to contact two technical contacts at GM prior to any repair work being done. No alternative parts or procedures are listed. The customer must mention this condition and the dealership must validate the EI number prior to performing this service.#08-07-30-024: EI08183 - 6L50, 6L80, 6L90 RWD Leak From Transmission Oil Pan or Oil Pan Gasket (Engineering Information) - (May 19, 2008)

Subject: EI08183 - 6L50, 6L80, 6L90 RWD Leak from Transmission Oil Pan or Oil Pan Gasket (Engineering Information)

    PIC #1:

This PIC is in regards to the front strut bearings, which could result in a popping noise from the front suspension while turning. Coil spring witness marks are to be checked and if any rubbing is found on the coils, the springs are to be replaced. The strut bearing is to be inspected and dark streak marks are to be looked for. If any marks are found which could indicate slippage, the entire strut bearing assembly should be replaced. The goal of this document is to help the technician identify the problem. The parts for replacement are the same as when it left the factory and there is not an alternative service method. This is not a TSB.

    IB #1:

This information bulletin is in regards to warranty claims being made for the 175A battery harness fusible link being replaced under warranty. It advises dealers to check if the under hood fuse block positive terminal has been used to jumpstart a vehicle, instead of using the correct connections on the drivers side of the engine compartment. If found to be used for jumpstarting, they will deny your warranty claim. So stay away from the grey covered terminal on the passenger side fuse/relay block.

#08-06-03-004: Damage to 175A Battery Harness Fusible Link Due to Incorrect Jump Start Connection - (May 12, 2008)

Subject: Damage to 175A Battery Harness Fusible Link Due to Incorrect Jump Start Connection

    Models: 2008-2009 Pontiac G8

    IB #2:

This information bulletin describes how to properly identify the front stabilizer shaft links, and the importance to use the correct part for either the left or right side if one is to be replaced. If the wrong part is used, it could result in over-travel of the suspension, which could fracture the ball joint, and the link could dislocate.

I had my G8 at the dealer for a clunk noise from the front right and yes it was the front insulator bushings on the sway bar so they ordered new ones and will be in about a week.
