    Default Stall Torque Converters

I have seen/heard about some dispute on what stall torque converter should be put in the G8. Some say 3200, 3600 is too high, and that 2800, 3000 is good, some say it's fine. What are your opinions on this and why? Why would one be "better" than the other? Would you say it's necessary if you get a cam? Meaning, would you be putting to much strain on the tranny from all that power to invest in this piece to put in it?

I will be using a custom made Circle-D 3000 stall in mine. Once the car is all done and tuned Chris @ Circle-D may fine tune the converter for my application.

Yeah I was looking at that and thinking about getting a 3000, only because it's in the middle lol. Just that circle-D is more expensive than the Yank. As long as everything works well together and I still maintain, daily drivability, I'll be happy. Header's, Torque converter and Cam are the 3 biggies on my list.

It is more expensive for a reason. Circle-D uses billet parts in there converters for strength and consistency.

In that case, circle D for me. Strength/reliability is just as important to me as power. I don't want to sacrifice ANY reliability short or long term for power. I find one useless without the other.

Blackdevil 77: I like my Yank 3200 TQ Converter by Vector. If you're going to do headers & a converter, you should probably go with the 1" 7/8 LT Headers.

Get a transmission cooler for peace of mind & cooler trans temps.
