Here is a short vid showing my latest additions to "DEMON8" It shows my custom IPOD in dash setup, Magnacharger TVS 2300, and a couple extra goodies to taunt the local vettes since nobody wants to run me.

Thanks. Instead of mounting an actual GPS unit in the GPS dash kit, I put a 32G Ipod touch in there. The actual size fits the opening perfectly. It required some modification of the vent so that the cable had room to plug in the side. It charges from the center console and is hooked to the rear aux input. It is jailbroke and running Screensplitr to mirror the video to the stock screen.

Oh yeah, I can still do GPS, watch live Directv through Slingplayer app, and data log OBDII info

Sweet setup, lots of options there and a lot of different applications you can take advantage of. Does the 32G ipod have a lateral display mode?

Whats the deal with the ipod setup, do you have a write up on what was needed and how you installed it?

Also how do you like the ride with the eibach springs? and where did you get those wheels from?

The Commodore- I'm very much itching to get to the track(I'm awaiting some sub 100 degree days and drag wheels first)

Bradshow and DewieJr- Install was done by following Bluejackets writeup on GPS dash DIY install thread. The big difference is of course using an Ipod instead of GPS device. If you want to output video to the head unit at all times, you must use the Apple composite cable and Jailbrake your Ipod and run Screensplitr app from Cydia downloader

Very nice! Now my question is, how to you upload more music to the ipod? Since the port is being used im curious to hear how that can be done.

The cable includes a usb plug which I use to charge the Ipod during use. I load files onto the Ipod with a laptop currently. I'm working on a wireless transfer method but you can also download directly to the Ipod if you have a Wifi signal. More to come soon...:new:
