Hey Paul,

I was looking through the Commodore VE owner's manual that I got from you and they show hidden door storage compartments on the front and rear doors. Elsewhere in the manual care of the suede or velour (can't remember which term was used) on the door panels is mentioned. The manual doesn't state what trim levels have these features. Do you have any pictures? Are these something that will fit the G8?

Thanks,

Calais might be a good place to start looking.

Will need pics of your interior door trims to help with the search.

Paul,

I'll have to take pictures and post them tomorrow but here's a pic of a door panel to at least give you something to look at.

Nice up level on the door panels. Looks like the panels that slide out will prevent most door scuffs.

Posting a few other pictures that I found:

Are the "dots" visible on the panels perforations or are they really dots? Also,
are the panels between the curved console trim and the carpet felt covered as well?

How much would the front and real panels cost in $USD? Also if the panels mentioned above are suede/felt/etc covered, how much would they cost as well?

Thanks,

George

Also,
are the panels between the curved console trim and the carpet felt covered as well? Yes, the long panels from drivers or front seat passengers knee back to the rear of the console are suede trimmed.

How much would the front and real panels cost in $USD?
Approx US$700 + freight from Aus for the 4 compartments.
Approx US$2000 + freight from Aus for the 4 interior door trims.

Also if the panels mentioned above are suede/felt/etc covered, how much would they cost as well?
Approx US$250 + freight from Aus for the 2 console side panels.

I didn't bother working out the freight because just the parts were ludicrous.

Thats a crap load of money for leather/suede door trims! $2,000!

Sure is.
I thought you'd be able to just buy 2 or 3 panels for each door, but no.
The interior door lining is one part number from the bottom of the window down to the bottom of each door.

Ouch! I could almost fly to Australia and visit a junkyard for that much. I guess I'll have to squash that idea.

Thanks Paul for looking in to it.
