Is there any interest in a group buy for the 2008 & 2009 G8 service manual?
I should be able to do at least 5 orders for $149.95 each shipped.
I can also do any of the other items helm offers but I would have to check prices (ie DVD version) $450.00

Unless you have a GXP there shouldn't be any difference in the manuals. I ordered the 08 manual for my 2009 GT

I've never seen Collision Repair Welding instructions in a Service Manual before - I'm impressed. It's going to take some time to figure out where everything is, but I'm sure whatever it is, it's in there!

I think we may have a problem with the 2009 service manuals (or at least I do). My Volume 1 of 4 manual and Volume 3 of 4 manual are the same manual which covers General Information, Body Hardware and Trim, etc.

Has anyone else run into this?

The cover of my 3 says HVAC as well but the inside covers everything 1 does page by page.

Mine all start with the same table of contents for the first 10-15 pages for all the books (or the first 3 I checked), then the new section starts. (ie 3 - HVAC)

I guess I'm just unlucky. I'll have to call Greg tomorrow and see what can be done. I compared pages throughout volumes 1 and 3 and they are identical. It's a good thing I don't need to do any repairs on my suspension right now.:facepalm2:

Got mine in the mail today! Box was pretty whipped but the damage to the manuals was minimal.

Strange that your 1 and 3 manuals are the same. I just checked mine and they are different. Different thickness also. So it's just the wrong cover?

Nope. Right covers, just wrong content. My Volumes 1 and 3 are the same thickness, same material. Must have been a mixup with the cover binding. I'm taking some pictures now to send to Greg.

I just got mine today and I have the same issue---- looks like they accidentally printed VOLUME 1 and placed it in the VOLUME 3 cover.... then Pace shipped out what looked to be correct but the printer messed up...

The printer of this needs to fix this and send us out a VOLUME 3 that is correct.

I will contact Helm today.
We just shipped them the way we got them in. We didn't even need to box them. We just retaped the boxed and out the door they went.

Got mine today. All 4 manuals seem to be correct (innards match the cover). Also noticed all 4 volumes are a different thickness. 1 and 3 being close to the same with 3 being not as thick.

Just to let everyone know Helm actually seemed pretty easy to deal with on this issue. I gave them the two customers info and they are having UPS pickup the "damaged" manuals and will send replacements directly to the customers as soon as they receive the UPS shipments.

Very good on their part since they didn't make me have the customers ship the manuals to me the make me ship to Helm. Then back around the same way.

I gave at least week to customers to look at their manuals so I guess we got lucky with only two issues out of over 30 manuals shipped.

Thanks Greg- I was one of the unlucky ones but it looks like you guys are on the spot. Helm had UPS already pick up the manuals last week. Helm is saying they are going to ship the manuals back to you so you can then ship back to me.... you may want to talk to Helm about that one-- its seems like wasted shipping money to me... just talked to Helm today. thanks for your help!!!

The hard copies are worth every penny!!!!! There is literally 16" of sheets and it is really handy to have the hard copies while you are working on your car.... I would buy this over again for sure!!! and I will buy these on any new car I get!!!!
