We're planning our next meet to be in Concord, NC on September 19th at 5:00 PM.

The location will be at:
Quaker Steak and Lube

The Raleigh meet in July attracted 5 G8s
The Greensboro meet in August attracted 9 G8s

We're hoping to keep the upward trend!

Future meets that have been discussed are
1) October meet closer to the coast for our Eastern owners. Someone mentioned Fayetteville Drag Strip (1/4 mile) as a possibility.
2) Possible November 4th meet at Zmax Dragway for a Thursday evening Test and Tune.

Okay, 1/4 mile works! I went to their website and I couldn't determine the length of the track, but I saw some reference on another site about 1/8th mile.

i nominate fayetteville. i've seen a lot of G8 GTs on and around ft bragg. if they're on here then there might be a significant uptick in the numbers.

Hey guys,

I just found out that the NHRA Carolinas Nationals are going to be at ZMAX Sept. 17-20. If anyone's interested in going, it might be cool to watch. I'd like to go see it because I've never seen any NHRA event in person. I'll probably end up going on Sunday, because I have to work the other days.

Off topic...

For those follow or like NASCAR I have tickets to the race on Saturday night October 17th at Lowe's Motor Speedway. I will be releasing the tickets back into the public ticket pool very soon. These seats are right above the gate section entrance. No one in front of the seats except the fence. Tickets are $125 as these are prime seats. Have been trying for these seats for 15 years.

Just got home from the meet. We had 5 cars, two GXPs (Scott nono50, Jerry bigv8), two GTs (Eric esinger, John polo) and one base (Paul TheFANforRPM).

It's great seeing John and Paul again and two new faces Scott and Jerry! We didn't get any rain until was started eating dinner, then it started to pour down, traffic wasn't bad getting in but was a little weird getting out with cops directing traffic in an unusual pattern.

We kind of left the next meet open. If you guys still want to try out a Fayetteville dragstrip meet in October, Scott volunteered to scope it out and let us know the upcoming schedule. If there's more interest in a Triangle meet, that's fine too. What direction is everyone leaning towards?

Matt only took 6 pictures at this GTG, I guess Matt was tired of taking pictures after the Pontiac/Buick/GMC show we went to. Seems he focused more on Jerry's car than anything else. There's one picture that he took of the backends of the cars before John showed up.

Since you see George R on a regular basis and going to see him on Tuesday, do you mind talking to him about a GTG at Kooks and see what dates work for him? I'm still unsure about what's going on for October's GTG, but whenever he wants to do it, I'm sure we can get a good turnout for it.
