Well I've been working on this one for a while. I had to purchase new headlight assemblies so I could work on these in the meantime and they are finally done. It took me a month alone to receive the extra assemblies from aussie land, but Im thrilled with the outcome!

Want to get this done to your G8? Go to www.cincitydesigns.com and look in the forums for Nic. Tell him Matt sent ya! (Or the guy with the orange G8. :D) Here's the thread over there; http://www.cincitydesigns.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=397

Getting to the headlights is fun. You have to remove the front bumper, but overall it's not that difficult. Here is a few, brief photos. More to come!

EDIT:

headlights v.2 are being prepped and are almost on their way! These are not the finished product, but here is a sneak peak (thanks to the guys over at CinCity for providing this ahead of time! :D)

oh do i sense a bidding war coming up? ;)

How much total to get them done? If people were to provide you lights
would you do this kind of work on them?

and could you carry the led's around the corner along the full length of the bottom? (guessing not because of the turn signal)

Mav

i am just going to get this extra set of assy's I have on hand done. After that, I am going to turn this over to someone I know who is very interested in taking on G8's to do this exact thing (but for more expensive than I can get it done). :D

Still loving those :) would you be willing to put up a DIY post for people who wanted to try this themselves (where to get parts, how to put it together etc)?

Hey Mav! Thanks for the props! Yes, i do have your other set of lights here. I sent you a PM on my boards, but i'll just let everyone know what's up.

I'm developing a slightly new version of the "R8" mod. Something that's a little more "invisible" while the mod is turned off. It's going to look REALLY great Mav. You'll be pleased. Also, we'll get that OP mod going for you on this next set as well as a demon eye mod which you'll be really pleased with as well. You know I'll take care of you my friend. Thanks for posting these pics for me!

Here are some recent pictures and videos from an Eclipse 4G we just did. Just to show what else is going on in the shop this week.

Some quick video of our LED color shifting mods. You can pause, slow down, speed up, fade, blink, and many other options all from a hand held remote control! Pretty cool!

Nic and his team do outstanding work, guys. Obviously if you have any questions about the lights please ask him, but I'll be more than happy to help with anything G8 wise. I can even provide the official GM guide on removing the front bumper so you can install the lights (it sounds hard, but it took a friend and I about an hour total to remove the bumper, install the lights and reinstall the bumper).

Glad to see ya over here Nic!

not bad..

it would be cool if there was a way to have the lower leds switch to blue and have a flash pattern so when I respond to calls, those can be used as well

I like em. Can more white led's be added to the bottom? (Less spacing like the audi) ???

From what I am told, yes.

definitely think it'd look very nice if they bottom LED's were closer, similar to the Audi's.

Thanks for hating.

One of my biggest pet peeves is to do something (whether by my own hand or not) to my car and have people nit-pick it. Some guys at work know this and always say something about the atari gauges in my car to bug me and at first I wanted to punch them in the face, but now it's funny.

Cliff notes: Right now you are making me want to punch you in the face.

dispatchg8gt

Looks really nice man.

:poof::poof::poof:WARNING WARNING nitpicking ahead: :poof::poof::poof:

One thing that concerns me a little bit is the CCFL on the halo. Understandably difficult to try and hide the metal ignitor but I would think a little plastic diffuser ring would go a long way toward making it look even more OEM. Haven't looked at my own car to see how feasible it'd be to try and flush it up to the factory halogen projector but I did notice it was already pretty close from the vids that you and CinCity already posted.

/end nitpicking

Like I said though, all in all it looks really really clean and excellent. If I wasn't such a broke-ass I'd get this in a heartbeat.

damn.....sensitive in here? I was just mentioning what I thought would look nice(r). if I want what I want, and I want to pay for what I want, then why can't I want it the way I want it..? I think the Halo looks nice, but I think it could look better w/ closer LED's...I'm not hatin'.

It's different for each set because you can have as many as one thing done or a ton of things. Nic prefers you get into contact with him, let him know what you want and he'll get back to you with a reasonable quote.
