Hello all, Jeremy will be tuning and porting in South Fl (Davie) on September 10th, 11th and 12th at:

Rage-Tek
2021 SW 70th Ave
Davie FL, 33317
954-915-0016

The cost of tuning is $400 + $80 per hour for the dyno. If you are just looking for a street tune , that can also be done for $300 w/ WB o2. We work very hard on each and every vehicle until every customer is happy and the vehicle is spot on.

The average gain for the LS2 intake manifold is 11rwhp/13rwtq. We have done over 320+ LS2 INT manifolds, 90+ LS7s 18RWHP and 20RWTQ, 35+ LS3 & L76s 12RWHP and 15RWTQ and over 325+ TB's.We have had many cars gain much more than the averages listed: 20RWHP from an LS2, 32RWHP for an LS7, and 30RWHP from a L76 and 22RWHP from an LS3. When porting the TBs you will feel greatly improved throttle response and in the bottom end/mid range a strong seat of the pants increase. Many liken the difference to taking about 350lbs out of the vehicle. It truly makes the car much more fun to drive. Our Manifolds are very thoroughly ported not only in the runners but also much of the plenum and TB flange are enlarged in order to support more airflow from idle thru the upper RPMs. The larger the air reservoir the less likely it is to deplete the greater volume in the upper RPMs. Hence the difference of the '00 LS1 intake vs the '01 LS6 intake, a small plenum volume change gained 10RWHP and 10RWTQ.

This is all on a core exchange basis.

A $100.00 deposit via CC or Paypal is required to reserve a space.

To schedule a time, please call us at 813 476 7364 or Jeremy on his cell at 813 495 8778.

Here are some graphs of some cars that we dynoed, tuned, and swapped the intakes and TBs. Some are direct A-B swaps and show the results. Some are Base runs then a rough tune and then we swap the intake and TB, and then fully optimize the tune.

1st is a Stk 07 LS7 ported and tuned: 1st is base, 2nd is base tune, 3rd is ported and tuned completely.

Here is a bolt-on 07 LS7 (w/ headers CA)I base tune and then ported and tuned.

Here are two C6 LS2's with just cai and cat backs before and after tune and Ported intake and TB:

383 LS6 to ported FAST and nice set of heads:

408 LS6 to ported FAST:

Obviously the larger motors wanted the larger manifold more than a smaller motor but we have had an LS2 with one of our ported LS2s on it Put a ported FAST on there and pick up 22RWHP and 30RWTQ on a 6L bolt-on 07 vette.

I reserved a spot for the 12th at 11am. Just wondering what a retune is gonna cost me though.

Any negative effects to having the intake ported as my first and only mod? I really couldn't foot the bill for the tune until later.

This would be on a 100% stock GT

A tune will make a much bigger difference. Get the street tune if you can't swing the dyno tune. Results will be very similar anyway since Jeremy does his street tunes with a wideband.

What W said and also there would definitely be no negative effects at all.

I'm still nervours about any warranty concerns that may arise before I've really established myself and could afford a fix on my own. I'm a recent graduate still on the hunt for a job in my field so the money isn't all there. I know, I really shouldn't be modding to begin with....I need to just not pay attention to these threads, either that or we should ban Jeremy from coming down for a couple more months:nah:

With the above concerns is there anything detectable from a factory tech thaat would give away that I had the intake ported?

Thanks for the help guys

Only if they pull off the intake manifold and inspect it from underneath. There is about as much of a chance of that happening as getting struck by lightning.

Sounds good. How late in the day does Jeremy usually stay? I may be able to take off from work early.

Is there any price break, if you get the porting and tune done at the same time? If so what are we looking at cost wise? Thanks.

If I were you I would at least buy the intake and throttle body porting now since their "beat the heat" special runs out after tomorrow. They can probably just bring the parts to Davie with them. You might want to see if they'll work with you on the tune as they have a special on that right now. I'm in Miami as well and just drove up to Lutz last Friday to have mine ported and tuned. I can definitely feel a difference from the parts and tune and I haven't even touched the exhaust yet. Jeremy does a very thorough job tuning and will make the car run like a raped ape and still have excellent street manners (my car is driven mostly by my wife). Hope this helps, Kevin

Is it possible to get headers and tune at the same time ?
I was thinking on kooks LT's no cats and a tune.

Sure, just give Rage Tek a call to schedule it and let me know when we can do the tuning.
