SOOOOO I am installing the NEP CAI I bought off a forum member on here....
and now my MAF hits the upper radiator hose... my tech here says eventually the MAF will rub a hole in the hose if I leave it like that...
GRRRR8 says....
question #2, no pcv hole in the set up... tech says it can vent without problem into the atmosphere but it wont pass smog(im not worried about inspections at this time)
GRRRR8 says....

ok, so yea... maybe this isnt a NEP... i have no idea now, I talked to Shawn at NEP and he said that the NEP elbow off the throttle body has a nipple on it for the PCV hose... this setup does not. (grrrr's silently), He also said I may have to trim my upper radiator hose to eliminate the contact with the MAF.... (GRRRR's LOUDLY)

There is no nipple(dont get freaky on me :)) on the tube itself? There should be and then a rubber hose will go from it to the passenger valve cover.

The tube from the pass. valve cover is with the female end of the connector.
I just looked again, and there is a hole drilled into it on the right side after the throttle, so I guess I need to buy a nipple for it....
I have adjusted and adjusted and I can not get the mass air flow sensor off the upper radiator hose.

Re: Question 2
Your tech is an idiot who does not understand how the PCV system works.
Connect the fresh air supply hose between passenger side front of the rocker cover and a nipple (anywhere convenient between the front of the throttle blade and the MAF).

when i installed the cai on my g8 i stuck the pcv tube directly into the CAI. i had no problems with the rad hose either. try to adjust it at the tb or all of the metal peices might have to be curved upwards. im sorry you are having such a hard time.

You can stick the hose in the coupler that attaches to the throttle body. That is how the 1st New Era was anyway.

do i cut the tube? bend it?
I took it all apart once I got home, reassembled, did a lil pipe adjusting and STILL the MAF hits the upper radiator hose... so FU*K it, Ill get a HRSK and forget about it... for now anyway....
Took it out and drove it a bit.... HOLY COW, BUTT DYNO SAYS HELLLLLZ YA!
Sounds awesome too...
If i can figure out the rest of everything, I will be amazingly happy with this setup... til the mod bug comes back

So it is just like the one I showed you. You can get it off the rad hose easy enough. The pcv tube goes right into the radius coupler attached to the tb.

For the interference issue, I'd just put some sort of shield between the two pieces. If you can't get it to fit right otherwise, that is.
