View Full Version : Replacement Engine Cover for V6

Anyone know of replacement engine covers for the OEM cover. With the STB installed one cannot remove the OEM cover w/o first swinging the brace out of the way. Somewhat of a problem during oil changes due to the location of the filter. Thanks

Why don't you just leave it off. All it really is doing is keeping the heat on the engine longer. HEAT is the number 1 enemy to the engine.

Thanks, thats exactly what I thought. Tricky folks at GM. Make a cover that helps destroy the engine. AAAHHH YES built in obselecence.(sp)

Leave it off. I did on the V8.

Got a picture of what it looks like with it off (V6)...if it looks better...I'm doing it too.
