My parents can be so unbelievable that it's well.....unbelievable. I just debaged the pontiac off the back and the GM cubes on the sides. I personally think it looks better but when my parents found out what i was doing they flipped. Of corse. My mom was like "oh Mario! you ruined your car! what is wrong with you? It looks like a fake now!" My dad comes out and goes "you shit head!!! You know you can get in trouble for that? It's illegal to take things off!!"

I'm just like :lalala:

I like the way it looks now. Just have one question...I used rubbing compound to completely clean off any goo redidue to make it really look like nothing was there. Except now there is a slight discoloration were the compound was. I waxed over the spot 3 times and that discoloration is still there. WTF!!??

What kind of rubbing compound did you use? You might need to use a mild cleaner to get rid of any haze left by an aggressive compound. You could probably use something like Scratch-X on it.

I used No. 7 rubbing compound. I think it's pretty abrasive stuff.

Never use that on clear coat finishes. Get some Scratch X.

I used Scratch X, then Meguiar’s No. 7 Show Car Glaze, then NXT tech 2.0 liquid wax on the spots were i removed mine.

personally,I didnt have much to clean up after debadging, but a little step 1 paint cleaner worked fine right before i put the wax on

I use Scratch-X. Your #7 actually put fine little scratches in the clear coat. Scratch-X will polish them out. Just watch out for any hard edges / body lines. The force can get concentrated there and you don't want to go too deep.

Like others said the compound scratched it. It's not faded, it the light hitting the small scratches left from the compound. Scratch X will fix it.
You must have missed all the debadging tutorials.
