I bought a set of wheels from a friend for my G8, and ended up needing a spacer. I have been looking around for a longer stud, but so far I have not been able to find the right size.

Does anyone know where I can find the right size wheel stud?

Moroso makes 3in studs, but they are 1/2 20. This is what I used. .604-.615

How difficult is it to change out the wheel studs? I have done it once before on a front wheel drive car, and had to slide out the half shaft a little to get the new ones in.

Is .605-.615 the knurl size that you used?

Yes. The fronts are easy to change, the rears yo have to press the hub out to access the studs.

Is pressing the wheel hub difficult to do?
What tools might it require?
Would I be able to get both rear wheels done in one afternoon?
Is there a shop in the Houston area that could help me out if I decide not to do this myself?

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

I am in Sugar Land and it can be done in 1 day. $130 for the front and $255 for the rear. It would be wise to have someone do this that has done it. :)

PM me and I will tell you how to get to the shop.

Just having Charlie work on your car is worth at least 50hp!

These spacer kits with studs were unavailable for a long time earlier in the year, might be back on Aussie shelves around now.

didn't you get new lug nuts as well because of a thread pitch issue?

I ordered the correct Greg Weld open end nuts for the wheels. Then I ordered the correct 3in studs that were 1/2 x 20 for those nuts. No hub rings and smooth as glass to 165mph on ETs and runners.
