I have had this happen twice in the last two days. When I come to a stop all of a sudden the car surges forward. It was minor the first time it happened but today if I wasnt a safe distance I would have been in the rear of the car in front of me.

my car also does that esspecially in sport mode nothing to worry about just down shifting pretty much
sounds like it is the rev matching on downshift that happens if you have been driving aggresively

Like stated, its pretty normal. Shouldn't happen if your cruising and just coming to a light. If your thromping on it a bit and are moving through the gears, it may rev match you on the downshift and feel like its a surge, but its really not. Just bring it down before you get to a stoplight a bit sooner.

Good advice. I really dont get out on the freeway much so I do a lot of short (very quick :) ) runs.
Mine does it the first 5 minutes of driving, even when I'm not driving aggressively. After it warms up a bit, it doesn't do it again. I'll be driving normally, then come to a stop, and then the car lurches forward even as my foot is pressing firmly on the brake.

I've got that symptom as well. I'm looking into factory re-flash. I don't want to adjust "my driving" to accomodate the tranny -- prefer having the "tranny re-flashed to accomodate" how I drive.

I have also had this happen, kind of makes you go "what the hell?"

Haven't noticed it much after having the tranny re-flashed for the 3rd time. Hope it stays that way.
