Ah it was you he was talking about. After he pulled my car off he was asking some questions and mentioned he had a customer who was going to put ARH on their GXP..

I think they guys from LS1 tech might set up another DD in the fall.

Well folks, the statistics thread is current with all 1,829 GXPs built on it. Now I am trying to match the individual cars up with their owners, and the state they are located in. I currently have 348 owners matched up (just over 19%), and I have the location state/province for 387 GXPs (just over 21%). I have sent out plenty of PMs to individual owners asking for the last 4 of their VIN and their location, and I'm waiting to hear back from a number of them. If any of you are reluctant for privacy reasons, please drop me a PM. I have a number of owners who have only provided the info on the condition of strict privacy, and I am honoring that. The Registry will not list any owner's names or screen names. It will only list the last part of the VIN, the configuration, and the state/province of last known location (just so we know where the greatest concentrations of GXPs are). I will not share any private details whatsoever. If someone has a legitimate need for information, I will get their info, and provide it to the owner (they can choose to respond to answer or ignore as they wish).

If you don't think that you have posted your last 4 of VIN or location state, PLEASE drop me a PM with those details. I would like to get as complete of data as possible together before launching the website.

What is it you want out of it? A CAI and tune will wake up the car. Headers, Cam, intake plenum work and TB port and polish is the next step.

Well folks, I owe you all a big apology! I had fallen behind in my volunteer duties for updating this thread, and the Registry itself. I have now corrected that fault, and sent everyone PMs with the info I have on their cars. Once again, for those who have been patiently waiting, THANK YOU AND I'M SORRY (OK I deserved that!). I can officially state that I now have owners documented for 504 total GXPs, which is 27.56% of all of them ever built! That means only 45 more cars and we break the 30% barrier! I also have location state/province documented for 672 total GXPs 36.74% of all of them ever built! That means only 60 more cars and we break the 40% barrier! I also wanted to let everyone know that I probably need my head examined (those of you who have met or know me KNOW I NEED MY HEAD EXAMINED!), but I am adding 1 more parameter to the Registry. I have the means to verify one other factor in GXP production that I never intended to track. That is tires. GXPs all came with either "RP2 - All Season Blackwall tires" (i.e. Goodyear RS-As) or "QCZ - Summer Only Perfromance Blackwall tires" (i.e. Bridgestone Potenzas). I am slowly going thru & verifying this for every GXP ever built. Once I have all of them done, I will update the statistics thread giving every car a little more specifics. Part of me is doing all of this work for selfish reasons. 1 of 10 total configured like mine just isn't rare enough for me , LOL!

If you own a GXP and haven't sent me a PM with the last 6 of your VIN please do so. The more I get, the more complete the Registry becomes. Your private information will NOT be shared with the General Public. Once I publish the Registry, it will only list the location state of each car, and the car details. Please help me get over the next numerical barriers!

I wanted to post some curious information that I have now discovered as I do more in depth research on G8 GXP Build Histories. First, out of the first 71 cars that I have fully authenticated, only 2 were equipped with code RP2 All Season Blackwall Tires (Goodyear RS-As). All the rest were code QCZ Summer Only Performance Blackwall Tires (Bridgestone Potenzas). I wonder if this trend will continue as I verify more cars? Second, I discovered an unusual situation with 3 cars. Under Model designation, I usually see "2EP69-2009 G8 GXP." I have now found 3 of the first 71 that instead state "2EP69-2009 VE - Commodore." At first I thought I made a mistake in entering the VIN, but I didn't. As I looked carefully under option codes, they include the following: EF7-Country United States of America, NU1-Emission System California, LE, OAP-Identification Pilot (Opel), V9R-Merchandised Pkg Pontiac G8 GXP, XQ3-Equipment Pontiac. Then when I checked to see where the vehicle was Invoiced & Shipped to, it states GM Holden. This makes me think that these 3 cars never left Australia. The vehicles in question are as follows: 9L300052, 9L300058, & 9L300065. If anyone can provide any input to help with this mystery, I would appreciate it. More to come as I do more research from home!

I wanted to pop in to let everyone know about the status of the G8 GXP Registry. I now have a state/province for all but 4 of all the GXPs ever built. This is the most current information on each car that I could find. With sales of vehicles and people moving, it can change of course. I am even prouder of the fact that I have now tracked down specific owners for 524 GXPs. That is 28.65% of all of them ever built. With only 25 more GXPs, we hit the 30% mark, and with only 80 GXPs we hit 1/3 of all the cars documented. That would be an awesome threshold to attain! There are quite a few members of this board who own GXPs who have either not contacted me, or failed to respond to me to verify the car they own. Please, please, please do so, so that this Registry can be as complete as possible. When I launch the Registry, your name will not be made public, and only the location state will be listed by the car, so your privacy will be maintained. I have a number of people who have provided this information only on the condition that I not divulge any info at all without going thru them first. I have happily complied, and am happy to do that for anyone else who asks.

I am going to go out on a limb, and make a promise here. Once we hit that 33% mark (only 80 more cars), I will take the necessary final steps to launch the G8 GXP Registry website and give free public access to it to all. Please help me get there to add some more work to my plate, LOL!

The Registry is coming along slowly but surely. I am now up to 545 GXPs that I have documented the location and the owner (29.80% of total production). That means I need 4 more cars to hit 30%, and 59 cars to hit 33% so I can launch the G8 GXP Registry Website.
