Damned glare

Has anyone removed the curved dashboard instrument lens/cover? The glare/reflection from the curve drives me nuts. It seems that a flat cover would have been much better .

Mine was real bad too. I took Windex and a 100% cotton towel(polishing cloth) and cleaned it real good and now it is acceptable. A flat 1 would have cut that out!
