we will be there along with our portable dyno on the "White Lot" I think it will be more fun the woodward, as that cruise is a little tired and played out now. I have gone every year for the last 5 years and it always feels exactly the same. everybody afraid to have fun because of police. Not this cruise ;)

Yep, I totally agree with your comments about the Woodward Dream Cruise. My wife & I used to live near 12 & Woodward. The best part about the Woodward cruise was all the races you could get in on Woodward every evening & weekend nights before the weekend of the cruise. Less congested, and less cops. :)

Hey Andy, what days are you guys going to be there at the "Back to the Bricks Cruise"? Tuesday 8/11 - Saturday 8/15

I'll have to come out to the White Lot to come meet you. And to do a couple of pulls. :)

Cool, I'm going to try to make it out there that Sat. 8/15. I think that is the 1st weekend, that our family does not have weekend plans! :)

Hopefully there will be some pulled pork sandwich stand out there. I'm totally craving one.

I might have to hit BW3's for one & some wings..... :)

Sorry for my lack of clear explanation.......

My bad, I was kinda thinking out loud. I meant that I wanted to get a pulled pork sandwich, there at the "Bricks Cruise".

But until then, (like tonight for dinner), I may go to the BW3's in Midland, MI and pick me up a pulled pork sandwich & wings to satasty my craving.

I would be in for meeting somewhere though. We could meet at the Livernois set up or someplace else.

It looks like they are finishing a map on their website......

how good of a pulled pork sammie you want? if you want the best it will take a drive to Sterling Heights to hit up Red Hot & Blue, by far the best BBQ I have ever had. You guys are more then welcome to hit up the Dyno, who knows we might do a competition like before ;)

Yep, I am familiar with the area. I always wondered if you lived in Grand Blanc and then worked in Dearborn Heights.

I went to high school in Flushing (1992 grad), and finished up my bachelor's degree (Operations Management) at U of M - Flint.

I didn't know the RHB in Novi was closed, I'll have to hit the one in Sterling Heights the next time I'm in the Detroit Metro Area......

Hi Carl. :)

Sounds awesome, & thanks for all the information. I'm familiar with the area, so I know right where the "white lot" is at. I love the Turbo Buicks! How much power is that Grand National making?

I'm on Facebook (Mike Palumbo), and I added "Back To The Bricks" to my friend list & "am a fan" of the BTTB on there.

I'm going to have to get in the "Cruise" one of those nights. Is there a little bit of racing going on? Like hitting it a little bit off the traffic lights?

Ya i never told you about the TA LOL. Its been in the garage since my grandpa passed away. I take it out maybe 3 times a year. Thought i would fit in better with it. I roll the G8 if get the strut bushings and bearings replaced in time. The thing has a horrible drift to the right when you have the wheel turned to the left. Kinda a pain to drive it LOL.

The police have been very tollerant. Only one cittation given out last year was for "blue lights" which is a no-no. He wouldn't have got a ticket if he wasn't a a**hole to the officer.Just don't get too carried away and you will be alright!:woohoo:

Yep, I'm still going. My wife (Karen) & I will be down there Saturday 8/15. It sounds like both Rick & Andy will be there. I was planning on dyno'ing my G8 to see what it pulls.

If you still have your 3600 yank on there, it will be a fair RWHP fight :)

If you take your G8 we have to have a pull off! ;)

I gotta PM you too.... talk to you later....

Damn! That's pretty early, maybe I'll get down early as well, and do the morning thing too.

Andy if you get down there & forget anything definitely either call or text me, and I'll pick up whatever (coffee, bagels, misc.) and bring it down to your guys' spot. I'll PM you my cell phone number.

I graduated from U of M - Flint, so I know the area well. And I have some of the BTTB maps printed out.

I really want to do the cruise tonight, but I've got to go to bar night with the wife & her work people.

Maybe there will be some spirited cruising down Saginaw St. (Flint to Grand Blanc) on Saturday? :flame:

Should be sunny weather for the next few days.... :)

I went to the Back to the Bricks event in Flint, MI on Sat. 8/15. It was pretty cool, with a lot of activity going on in the Flint downtown.

I hung out most of the time over by Andy & Rick at the Livernois dyno. Paul came as well, and it was a good time. (Not nearly enough beer though...) As I had to keep going down to Churchills to get a bottle of beer at a time (1/2 mile walk, 1 way). Next time, I would totally bring a cooler with a case of beer in it! Woot!

I had met Rick & Paul before, but this was the first time that I met Andy. And he is super cool, and it was nice hanging out in that spot for the day.

I've got a couple of pictures that I will post up (as soon as I can.....) I'm hungry though.... I may have to get something to eat first..... :)

I wish I got a chance to ride the golf cart, that looked like fun! That is definitely the hot ticket to have at a big event like that!

Thank you Rick, I did get my dyno print outs via the email.... New Age muscle (like G8's) for the win!

* As soon as I get some cash together, I'll be dropping my G8 off so I can get your guys' ECM / TCM dyno tune......

Talk to you later.....
