if it is a belt slipping, is it killing power? slightly worried. input appreciated, thanks guys. i know the sounds i there, im not taking crazy pills am i?

sorry if im posting your videos and you dont want me to

I don't hear a slipping belt in any of those.
Care to explain how a slipping belt could rob power at the wheels in a non supercharged car ?

Me either. Paul has a point too about robbing power. The middle car is mine and I haven't heard what you are referring to. If you explain the sound a little more it might help.

After listening to them again, I think what you are hearing is the sound of the tires on the drums. That is what the whining noise is.

i guess it wont rob any power, but the noise is def there. If you listen towards the very end of the gear, which is where it comes in and gets louder until the end of the gear. thats the noise i hear towards the very end of every gear, 1st through 3rd.

ive considered it being tires, but would i really be loosing traction towards the end of every gear? i dont think its that powerful. someone mentioned theirs went way once they did a pulley, meaning a new belt went on.

not trying to cause any controversy here, just slightly worried about the issue, and know its not a single case. thanks for the input

the only thing out of the ordinary I hear in any of those videos is what sounds like a wrench hitting the floor in the first video. Not even sure what I'd be listening for anyways.

That "whistling" you hear is the restriction in the stock exhaust... You should hear how loud it is on a blower car with stock exhaust, it's even worse...

Here is our Shop GXP for comparison with stock exhaust it is present, with the Corsa ,it is not...

Wow Andy, youre absolutely right. Its def not there in the second video. So what is the restriction doing thats making that noise? Never knew it could be that. Thank you very much.

it's just the entire catback restricting it. GT's do it as well with blowers, but usually not when stock.

only the v6 cars have power steering pulley/belt issues.
