My best of the night was a 13.344 @ 107.33 MPH with a 2.147 60ft. I think if I get my 60ft down to a 2.0 then I can smell 12s on a cooler day. The DA was 1774. A lot of cars were not running what they should. A 300 SRT8 with 100 shot was running 13.2, a Terminator was runnning high 13s. And a Zeta Camaro SS running low 14s. And the IS-F I killed on that 13.344 run was running high 13s. Probably a bad driver but not sure how when it's an auto.

I got 6 runs and they all got better as the night went on. My corrected time according to Drag Times is a 13.076 @ 109.577. I was aiming for a 13.2, but as I see most GXPs run around these times, I'm happy for the most part. My best MPH was 107.52. The best runs were done with a launch at 1500 RPM and holding third through the trap.

For anybody who has the garage feature on this site, you can check out the rest of my runs.

60' is killing you. Is it spinning or bogging? Do you have a HSRK?

Not bad considering the weather!

I'm assuming you were at PBIR?

It's not spinning at all on launch. It does chirp pretty bad on the 1-2 shift. I know my 60 ft is killing me and I need to get that down. I don't know if this is bogging but right when I launch, the engine does not start to scream until about a second after. I know a car with my mods can achieve a 2.0 60 or lower so I'm blaming this on me. No HSRK.

Yeah it was PBIR. It was sticky out there. There was a S197 Mustang GT running the same times as me but I never got to line up with him. I know he had exhaust and pillar gauges.

Did you ever try launching @ a lower RPM or even off idle to achieve a better 60ft?

My first two runs were off idle and one of them was a 2.2. But those were runs that I made right after driving 30 minutes to get there. I let it cool off for about 45 minutes for my last 4 runs.

Next time I go to the track I'm going to be practicing all differnt types of launches to get that down.

HSRK doesn't do to much. These cars don't pull timing until IAT's get well over 100F.

Ya think? Here's the IAT table from a stock G8. As you can see its pulling timing as low as 86 degrees. Based on the temps this week his IAT was likely around 120 if not higher. That's -5 degrees of timing.

MAybe not in MI but in Florida and Texas it does.

My car will NOT 2.0 60'(my best is 2.05) when it is hot off the street. The car has to cooldown and usually the sun goes down and the temps drop a bit(down into the low 90s high 80s vs 100) before I get the better 60's. Most likely becuase it is pulling timing from heatsoak and that is WITH a HSRK.

Yeah I guess I'm going to order one. The engine was hot all night.

BTW congrats on getting it into the 11s. You will be running even better in the winter.

I think next time I'm at the track I am going to do 27 PSI in the rears instead of the 38 I was running Wed.
