I've about had it with the crappy glove box. The left side catch never really seats well, and the door tends to pop down every so often. I've seen the thread on rattels and such, but didn't know if anyone has made any adjustments to the catch, slot, hinges etc. to make it seat better. Appriciate any input you guys may have.

Try loosening the screws and adjusting the latch/latch bar.

I was going to start playing with sticky foam applied on both side of the glove box in various thicknesses. Mine does not drop, I have positive engagement all the time, it is just that the glove is allowed to move up and down and hence rattle went it hits a hard surface. Hopefully the sticky foam would help.....
The other thing that worries me about it, is the latch mechanism itself, it is not tight, if you hit it it will vibrate and rattle.....
I agree though, they could have done a better job at it.

Thanks Charlie, I'll give it try.

LOL this is ONE thing I don't have an issue with...

I HAVE used a lot of the soft side of velcro to eliminate squeaks and such on this car. Lasts longer than foam which can break down over time IMO.

Yeah, I thought mine was just a fluke, the left side does seem that it should be tighter.

imho adhesive backed felt works better than the velcro and a heck of a lot less money. I can't claim the idea though...it was actually in TSB for my infiniti and I went nuts with the stuff. Works great.
