A lot of work and $$ went into getting these damn tips on my car, but it's totally worth it all now. These tips look worlds better than my Magnaflow tips did...

Always wondered what these kinds of tips would look like on the G8.
Did you put the tips on yourself? Lots of cutting?

They made it ever so slightly raspier. Barely noticeable at all. I also have excellent hearing, though.

Always wondered what these kinds of tips would look like on the G8.
Did you put the tips on yourself? Lots of cutting?

I did not do the work myself. Me + welder = something gets burned down.
1)The Magnaflow tips had to be cut off immediately behind the muffler.
2)The SLP tips had to be cut down about 1.25", so they wouldn't stick out too far (remember, I have a GXP diffuser, if you have a stocker it may need to be cut a little more).
3)Then the SLP tips needed to be angled upwards (just a bit more cutting & grinding to do this).
4)Then they were aligned and welded into place.

They came out perfect.

And another quick note.....NO!!...the SLP LoudMouth axle-back will NOT bolt up to the Magnaflow center section. You can do it, but you have to cut the flanges off of the Magnaflow center section (which I'm not doing) as the SLP is a slip-fit setup.

ohhhh is it supposed to follow the lines of the diffuser??
