hey, the pictures actually worked. I hope everyone can see them. The holden front end looks really good in the fastest color. Now all I need is a converter....tune....gear.....headers.....cam..... HSV wheels......I'm almost finished with it.

I REALLY like it;)

Had I not just decided to GXP my GT's nose after lightly scraping the underside of it on a curb, a Holden nose and such was possibly in its future.

Looks great. Next time try to use .jpg instead of .bmp for your pics. Much smaller files :)

Both cars look great. I like the Holden front end but really wish that you could keep the G8 Hood. How did you get the Holden insignia on the steering wheel???????????

Thanks everyone. People stare at me all day in this thing. I'm starting to get a complex. Panzer, I ordered the entire air bag and had it shipped in one of the front end boxes.

I like that a lot. Did you do the work yourself?

Thanks g8 795. I did the badging myself but the hood/ bumper was painted at the local show car type body shop. You will see their work if you look at the current Summit Catalog. Bob Moates Challenger is on the cover.

I seriously can't believe how much attention my car gets with the conversion. People slow down as they drive by my house, a guy walked up into my driveway and walked all the way around the car three or four times, and everywhere I go people stop and ask me about it. I was in Vancouver, BC on Friday and after going in to an office building for about an hour, I came out to find someone standing by my car. As I walked up he made a call on his cell phone, and then came over to me. About that time three more guys came out of the office bulding I parked in front of. They had seen me pull up and couldn't figure out what kind of car it was, so they were taking turns watching my car till I came back, I was parked in a 2 hour zone, so they could ask me. The wanted to know all about it, see under the hood, everything!
Not that I am complaining, I LOVE the attention!

It's a blast, No?

Two kids in a lowly ricer stopped behind us in a parking lot awhile back. They started arguing, then both pulled the cells out and started snapping pics. I could tell they wanted to ask, but I snarled at them. :p

The Holden Lion is truely a mystery to folks here.

Same thing here. I was pulling into a very large car show of around 175 cars. I started at one end and noticed a guy watching me drive toward him. He stopped in his tracks between two cars and leaned back alittle. As I drove by, he looked at the rear end, then started walking behind me. Soon two more, then five more. It looked like a Verizon commercial when I parked. There had to be two dozen people waiting for me to park. My car had actually stopped the show for just a few moments.
I don't know if the attention will ever get old. I am to the point where I don't even leave the car. Somebody asks every few moments. I love that. I have an exotic world muscle car and all I had to change was the hood and bumper.

P.S. I have never heard a penguin snarl. must be an exotic sound. :nud:

Add to it a motor and exhaust that sounds like mine Jerry, and you'll never get a moments rest at a car show. Lol!

Its settled then. Jay is switching engines and exhaust with me. I'll let you all know how I do at the next show. We better do it before it sells, but after the TVS 2300 and converter install.

George, please don't tell your wife where I live. If she's the shopping to save money type, I might find my car in an alley somewhere missing the hood and bumper. I would take me longer to switch engines with Jay.
