corvette kill

i was at a red light, getting ready to merge on to 696 which has a 2 lane entrance ramp. just as it turns green a 2009 vette(not zo6) pulls out of the gas station just past the light. he gets into my lane as im approaching and is going rather slow so i get over to pass him and as i get next to him, he punch's it so i do the same and i pulled almost a full car on him. we both merged and he stayed about a half car off my bumper till about 120 when he let off. i felt absolutely awesome. my hands were shaking after words for a few minutes haha

It feels so awesome to toast a Vette! The last time I went to Lapeer dragway, I beat about a 2002 LS1 5.7 Silver Corvette 2 times in a row.

Not sure what he had done, or if it was an A4 or M6, but I beat him the 1st time (by a car length, and then spanked him the 2nd time (almost 2 car lengths).

Before I got my GXP, my 09 A6 Vette was a solid 12.4 second car and in great weather (-1600 DA) hit a 12.15 at Houston Raceway Park. So these 09's are very fast cars.

If this was an A-6 Vette, its rear end ratio is likely only 2:56, and without a tune, the Vette probably has the same problem as the G8's without a tune.... poor down shift speed upon WOT. From a stop, the Vette can probably take a G8, unless it has a lot of mods.

Not trying to burst anyone's bubble, but with the weight advantage and more power that the new vette has.... he either was just playing around or missed a gear or two if he was manual. The Vette wins every time.... hands down. Its math fellas. But...... as they say, "Anything can happen on the streets". Good run either way!

If he's like other G8's with similar mods he's sitting about 325rwhp/340ftlbs
