I have a new 2009 G8 GT. At 400 miles I got a tire pressure monitoring system fault. It's going in for service on Thursday, so I want to kill some more birds with this one stone.

Obviously, there's the fault that needs to be fixed.
I'm going to have them look at service bulletins and fix whatever needs to be fixed there.
It seems to idle rough. They say that's just how the V8s run, but I'm going to have them look at it.
It sometimes makes a strange whistling noise at start-up.

As experienced owners, what else should I just go ahead and have them look at or fix at this first visit?

Thanks!

The whistling noise is normal...

What year is your GT? Most 08 and some early 09 models need a ECM and TCM update.

Oops. Should have said 2009. I'll edit the post above.

The TPMS has a recall attached to it, it was also introduced with a recall for the brake light switch, I guess it could possibly stay on, keeping the brake lights on and also messing with the TCS. I know its for 08's, dont know if its for 09's though.

Both are normal.

Both are normal.

Especially if good looking girls are around. This is included in the optional package. As Lauren Bacall told Bogie," You do know how to whisle don't you? You just put your lips together and just blow." YUK YUK!:nah:
