It's called Stealth Blue Envy...don't worry...nuthin' to be ashamed of...lotsa G8'ers have it. :dodge:

Hey Sean, I just detailed mine this last weekend & the GF & I are driving up the coast this weekend so I'll have some nice pics to show next week. Yours is looking great btw.

As promised, here are some pics from Tami & I's trip up the coast.

With the recommendation of a fellow G8'er from up in the area, we stopped at the Jalama Beach Cafe in Lompoc. Fantastic food. I recommend it to anyone out that way. This picture is my favorite from the trip. I think the color(s) captured in this picture is a perfect representation of this cars color.

Here's a few along the coast on Hwy 1:

Here are several from Pebble Beach on the 17 mile drive. It was really overcast.

I was hoping for the next shot to turn out better but the sun was setting & I couldn't get the exposure right. This was next to a surplus store off the 1 just south of Santa Cruz. I thought the flags as a background looked really cool with the G8 posing up front.

Here is a shot of one of the marinas in Santa Cruz. I was very happy that this shot came out as nice as it did. It was around 10:30pm and I'm using a Panasonic DMC-TZ3. Basically, just a nice point & shoot camera that I'm learning how to use in different settings. Usually my night shots come out horrible. This one wasn't too bad.

Our hotel was nice enuf but the parking was horrible. The spaces were so damn small that there was no way you could park dead center in a space and expect to get your doors open if large vehicles were parked on either side. Many people took 2 spaces. Not to mention the hotel was booked to capacity & all the spots were taken. So we asked the guy at the desk where we could park. Here's our awesome parking space:

Santa Cruz puts on one hell of a 4th of July celebration. We are contemplating making this trip every 4th of July.

The car performed flawlessly. We got a lot of stares & comments on the beautiful color.

A little side note: While on the road we played a game. We were on the look out for & kept a tally of the following vehicles: G8 (any), new Camaro, Challenger (any) & Mustang (the latest body style 2010 model year I believe). Here are the results:

G8 = 1 (not including mine)
Camaro = 2
Challenger = 2
Mustang = 25+ (we stopped counting after 25)

I expected to see more Challengers on the road but I didn't expect to see so many 2010 Mustangs.

Damn, I grew up in Santa Cruz. Lived there until I was 16 (1979). Our house was about a 5-10 minute bike ride to the beach. Every 4th of July, we were able to sit out in our back yard and watch this fireworks. It was great back then, sure it's amazing now.

Sorry to threadjack, I just miss that place (and my youth).

Glad you had a great time, and nice ride!!!

It was like nothing I'd ever seen before. There were thousands of people at the beach & at about 8:30pm the fireworks started. For an hour & a half, they were relentless up & down the beach. Some of these fireworks seemed like professional grade. No different than those you would see at a stadium event. Then at about 10:00pm the police closed the beach and started chasing everyone off. But the fireworks continued till midnite out of peoples back yards and other beach areas where the police hadn't been yet.

We had dinner at The Crows Nest which has amazing food. Then walked around the marina towards the lighthouse and watched the fireworks from there.

why is it that SRG's stealth blue looks blue but JoeSyko's steath blue looks purple?

That's been a topic of interest between the 2 of us for some time. I think we chalked it up to the different cameras.:huh: I would really like to get ours together at some point & do a side by side comparison.

The Crows Nest was always a good place to eat. So was Stagnaro's on the wharf, and Ideal Bar & Grill right before the wharf (at least they used too be).

The lighthouse threw me for a loop. It used to be a foghorn (at the end of the jetty). I guess they replaced it-oh well, it's been 30 years!

The picture you paint of the beaches sound the same as when I was there, except the cops didn't run people off back then. Just bon fires and party'in-how times have changed!

Sorry again for threadjacking...

Cheers!

I assumed it was a lighthouse. There was a green light circling around at the top of it. Although, it was probably more of a light post. It wasn't that big. It could of had a foghorn too. We didn't get out far enuf to take a close look and it was pretty dark about that time.

wow you have a very rare color.
Joe is in CA
SRG is in NC

they have their location listed on their profile,if using tapatalk you would need to click on the profile picture and it will bring up the location. I have never seen one myself. you need to bring it to Iowa in September for the International meet. We have never had a Stealth there. I guarantee that if you came it would be the most photographed car at the meet :)

start a thread in the introduction section and post some photos please.
