Went back to the track in my GT with my new Vararam. My previous best is 13.40@106.2 2.12 with just the 93 superchips tune. The DA was 1400-1500 and it was Low 60's outside. I installed the intake on Sunday so im not really sure how long it takes something to learn but I went for it anyway.

60ft 2.01
E.T 13.20
MPH 107.4

I tried to raise my 2-3 shift points 500rpms but the car didnt like it.

You should have every gear shifting 62-6300. Superchips is marginal at best when it comes to a tune, but they dont offer a Vararam specific tune and thats what you need. Nice increase for what you have.

Nice gain...I gotta get to the track again. This engine break in is killing me. Should put a few hundred miles on it this weekend though with the holiday trip!

Its making decent HP, 107 with SC and Vararam isn't that bad. Mine shifts about 6200 in the sport mode, so, Charlie is right on the button for RPM. Its a good tune for the street and shifts are much better. I haven't had a chance to run 1/4 mile yet, but, my 1/8 mile was about 4 tenths and over 4 mph with the SC. I'll go out again when conditions are simular and I can run the quarter again, our track only runs quarter on test and tune Fridays. Conditions here in Missouri haven't been to good for drag racing. Hot and muggy.

What kind of changes are you guys making in the advanced tune, Im not sure what changes I should make. Im just tryin to get the most out of my cortex for now just untill I get some ARH and then Im gonna get a slowhawk tune.
Any sugestions would be much appreciated.

Raise your rev limiter, put your shift torque to 100%, raise your top speed limiter, do the 91 octane tune, take it out for a drive and turn it loose. You'll like it.

Superchips is in the process of releasing CAI specific tunes but they don't have a Vararam intake yet. I'll be beta testing the Volant specific tune as soon as they release it to me, and they also have beta testers lined up for the RotoFab and NEP OTR. Hopefully they'll get a Vararam soon so they can get one written for that intake too.
