weldons dad drove for bmw...he says that weldons g8 gt cant out run a bmw 5 seriese? but i think i recall them advertising the g8 as being able to? so we are having a bet. can a g8 gt out run a bmw 5 seriese. and a bmw m5 or a m3.

Hey ABG! The BMW M5 puts out 500 horse power. I wouldn't bet on our G8's out running that. The standard V8 5 Series puts out 367 horse power. Depending on the setup I think a standard G8 GT could out run one of these. Now if your talking MODs on the G8 v. an M5 I'm sure Charlie has already had some lunch with those. The M3 puts out 414 horse power...again that's a bit much for our G8's. That said it could come down to the driver and missed shifts.

The thing Weldon's dad has to understand is dollars to horse power there is no comparison between a BMW and our cars. Not to mention ours is roomer and just looks meaner:)

haha! ok...note to self..dont mess with m5 or m3...but a 5 seriese...eat him up! weldons dad just went over the reply..he says he understands that and thinks 361 horse power for 30 grand is outstanding and was very impressed with the car....since he has in a way been driving one since he was 20 ****since its based on a bmw**

The BMW has a 155 limit. The G8 stock is 138 or so.
BMW wins.

it will. Once again though, I strongly recommend against going that fast.

he doesnt go really that fast in the car...like over 100 wise...he plays in the 0-90 range with cars...for the heavy speeding..he gets on his cbr1000rr...he grew up on motorcycles...raced motocross and everything so eh is a very experienced rider...he has broken 200 before. but he said he never is doing it again...wanted to say he has been 200 once.

Depends on which m5. The brand new v10? Not happening.

The previous models shouldn't be an issue.

George, we dont talk like that! LOL I have played with a few M3s, various years, no big deal. 2 M5s so far but 0-60ish only and was about a fender out on them.

Watch the M5's They don't come on till about 80mph and then watch out!

Most V8's will beat them out of the hole and then that V10 gets up there and BAM! Also keep in mind that the guy racing has to know you want to race so he can set his car up for it. The M5 runs 400bhp until you set it in the P6 mode which then opens it up to 500bhp and sets the shifts to 2X4 mode. 2X4 mode is what my brother and I call it because it feels like someone is smacking you on the back of the head with one when it shifts.

The M5 is not built for 0-60 times alone. It is a road course tool too!

This is a GREAT review! Watch it all. What he says is STRAIGHT on for most of the stuff but he does make everything out to be worse than it is... Like the sat/nav. Don't turn it on!
