Always in the pursuit of more power and doing things a bit different, it is time to put the bottle on ITBFST.

Thanks to Nick, Matt and Mike @ HARRIS SPEED WORKS (HSW) for their help and information on which kit I needed and the additional things I would need.

Here are some pics of the kit. Its the Sudden Impact 90mm plate system.

This type of kit have a window switch?

Also, what size jets/shot are you thinking?

I am using HSWs All Out kit as well. It will be dialed in on a controller for my goal. I will start with the 75rwhp jets and see what it does. I will be waiting for it to get cooler out for sure. My goal is 10.70s with no more then a 125 shot. If it wont do it, it just wont do it. I have some other things planned for the car as well for fall.

:secret: :nah: :secret: :nah: lol

Seriously, Pedders bolts for the rear so I can get camber where I want it on the launch. Some more tuning for the race Vararam set up. The nitrous install will be time consuming. I want to make a plate for the controller so I can put it flush fit where my DH currently is, then get creative with the fuel system for the nitrous. When all thats done I might put 3.45s and run 28in tall rear tires for a better footprint/rollout, but I have to figure out a 27in front tire 1st! Then a rollcage (after I get booted from the track) :)

My compression is almost 11.1 and I have a decent cam and head work. It just works better with this combo.

Charlie you beat me to it again. I was just going to order the sudden impact and all out kit next week but i still don't know what I wanted to do for the timing control. Are you going to be running The Interface Nitrous Controller for the timing or just turn the timing down with the hpt before spraying.

GRRRR8
07-01-2009, 08:40 AM
I will have 2 tunes and 2 seperate fuel systems. The one for the nitrous will have 110 octane and the engine will have 2-3 gallons of 93 + 2-3 gallons of 110. I will be using the all out kit as well.

TexasG8
07-01-2009, 08:49 AM
I think i am going to get The Interface Nitrous Controller for the timing since in the all out kit it only has the HSW MicroEdge Nitrous Controller which does not have an adjustment for the timing and I don't want to have vms sent me a nitrous tune and have to run on the street with low timing and the car feel like its dragging its ass.

GRRRR8
07-01-2009, 08:50 AM
I have run 32 in my car with no KR and am at 29 currently. I dont plan on spraying it until the weather cools down a bit.

GRRRR8
07-01-2009, 05:23 PM
It was thought about from the begining and I got caught up in being the fastest at a certain level knowing full well how limited my time is to get to the track. So now I will get a time this Friday and see what it does in this heat and after that...........ALL IN! I will make a pass all motor in cold weather just to see how fast it is.

Are you going to run a stand-alone fuel system and if so is it going to be a low pressure system or a high pressure?

It will be a low pressure system, easier to tune. There are some pretty trick kits available. I think the one for a Vette would fit down in my fender where my Roto use to sit.

Hope you have better luck than I have. I would never do business with them again.

I found a fault in their microcontroller and they refuse to cross-ship me a new one. Given their usual turn-around, that means I would be without my nitrous for two weeks. Or I can "just re-wire it". Because lord knows a fault in THEIR product should require me to pull apart the wiring I spent hours making clean the first time with loom and electrical tape.

Also have a faulty nitrous solenoid out of the box that almost blew up my engine, they also won't cross ship a new one of those. They told me I could take it apart and clean it, or send it in to have them clean it and send it back.

Piss poor customer service at best.

This is stardard procedure on just about everything we buy. I do know it can be a pain in the ass, but what isnt. I dont know any nitrous company that will just send parts without getting their part back first. I am sorry you had a bad experience though.

When I offer to pay full price for the new part and tell them they can refund me when they get the "old" part back?

First company I've EVER had do that. It'd be one thing if it was working and *broke* under some sort of warranty. When it doesn't work out of the box, that's BS.

I wouldn't last a day in my industry if I pulled that shit.
