Any LS1/LS2 set will fit, right? Who makes the best? MSD, JBA, Taylor, etc?

They are all good, just not worth the expense yet. The factory wires are actually good for a change!

I've got an annoying little high RPM miss. Going to check the wires real closely but if I have to replace I'd rather go better rather than stock. So which are best?

MSDs are the one to use. Check all your injector plugs and make sure no plug wire is too close to anything hot.

Yup. will be doing that tomorrow.

You checking the resistance on the wires?

No, just looking for damage. Don't have an ohmmeter. course a meter would be cheaper than a set of wires but it wouldn't dress up my motor like red wires would....

You can get one at Radio Shack. That's where I got mine. Check 'em out.

Yea I know they're cheap. What's the resistance supposed to be?

For that short of a wire from the factory about 2-300 ohms. MSDs will be about 100 if that.

Tom,
In stock form the LS1 wires were straight, while the LS2 and L76 wires had a 90 deg moulded end for the plug. The moulded 90 deg end version are much better for keeping the wires away from large diameter headers. Otherwise the stock wires are 100% interchangeable.
Stock Plug wires.

Guys in Oz going back 12 months or more had lots of problems with new MSD coils and wires. I don't know if we just received a few batches of second rate products or if the problem was worldwide.

So which sets are the guys over there finding to be the best?

I only see the one set Tom, but Paul is right on the clearance issues. I will see what I can find real quick this am. Its not like I can go to work!

I checked MSD, Taylor and Granatelli and all are straight boot. The MSD boots from my experience can be shaped for clearances.

Best value for money is the stock system IMO.
The guys that had issues with MSD products (some tried 2 sets) all went back to stock.
You'll find more valid info your end than I will here....re Taylor etc

I dont see a reason to change at this point unless they were damaged installing the headers or somehow got burnt. They can be cleaned to look like MSD. Mine are red so I assume everyones are too.

they do not seem to be damaged. Dashhawk is showing a few misfires even at normal driving speeds.

Tom, I bet you a plug got cracked on the install. VERY easy to do. If it is checked with a Tech 2 or Modis they can run a cylinder misfire test to isolate the exact cylinder.

Could be. I know that's easily done, been there. Would have expected more missing though if it was a cracked insulator.

The new Iridium plugs are much different then the old school plugs. I have had them come in with a intermittent misfire and pull the wire and the insulator falls apart!

I don't have access to the testers. I really don't want to go to a dealer for it. By the time I pay someone to test it and wait to get it done it'll be cheaper and easier to change out the plugs. The ac delcos are only $6 and I get free 2 day shipping.
