GPS wiring connection help

Can someone help me where should I plug my GPS hard wire (permanent connection). I need the GPS to power up (connect) the moment I open the car using the car remote & connection should go down (disconnect) the moment I close the car using remote.

I need to do this as am connecting a backup cam to my GPS so I need it to power up fast before moving .. As you know GPS takes around 30 seconds or more to power up.

I use the lighter connection in the dash. Went to radioshack and bought an additional lighter plug I could not cut my nav wire becuase my MSNDirect Antenna is in it. Went thru the dash and the connection is on immediately when starting and off when key out.
